5:45AM: Pain everywhere. Both Holly and I went to bed hurting, and woke up even worse. My knee is killing me. Holly's back and ribs are killing her. And every muscle in both of our bodies is in agony. And neither one of us is looking forward to going down to the gym or facing the rest of the day. Sigh. Hand me that bottle of Ibuprofen please....
6:45AM: A little over a mile on the elliptical machine, 310 calories. Burned of breakfast before even eating it! Made the mistake of popping my head into Cam's Spin class. He roped me onto a bike for a while. After about ten minutes of that, my water bottle and initiative were both empty. So back to the gym to fill up the bottle. Holly started off open gym with 15 minutes of stretching and then did her mile on the elliptical machine. So here we are back in the room getting our stuff together for breakfast and this morning's hike.
11:10AM: Breakfast was egg whites on half a bagel with a slice of turkey bacon. Then off to do the Stop Sign again. Holly figured the climb was killing her back, and rather then going up and being crippled for the rest of the week, she would start at the top. I started at the bottom as was about 3/4 of the way to the top before I saw Holly coming down. The guide Cerry suggested an alternative of going to the overlook and back before starting down hill. Personally, I'm exhausted from the hike and not looking forward to the rest of the day's workouts. On the good side, my blood sugar is pretty good. I just took a reading and the 119 is as good as it's been since my diabetes was diagnosed. Well, it's off to go Aquacise...
Lunch was a salad, the most wonderful mushroom soup and a small burrito. Dinner was a chicken rice bowl with a small "taramisu" dessert. Oh, and you know how excited I was with the 119 blood sugar level this morning? It was 94 before dinner!
I'm totally exhausted and am going to bed.
