Ouch. Ugh. Grunt. The sounds of another tortured day of exercise.
The day started with Tai Chi. This was such a great way to wake up and stretch. Love this.
Breakfast was buckwheat pancakes with bananas & berry's with a little bit of real maple syrup.
Back to Snow Canyon to do the Stop Sign hike. A little warmer this morning, though this warming trend is supposed to end Thursday with bad weather (i.e. snow) predicted. Still a beautiful hike. Holly was able to go much further before the bronchitis started bothering her.
Denae ran the Aquacise class today. Still one of my favorite classes. A lot of fun despite being a lot of work.
Lunch was salad, pumkin soup and a turkey sandwich.
After lunch Chef Cameron gave a Cooking Demo and discussed some of the ingredients that they use here. We'll be eating the desert that he demo-ed tomorrow.
After lunch Sharon tortured us with Total Toning (calisthenics with weights) then followed up the next hour with Cardio Circuit. Cardio Circuit gets a major thumbs down. Four of my least favorite activities jammed together. four stations: Spin (stationary bicycle), steps, exercise ball and kick boxing.
The last of the three afternoon classes was Gentle Yoga. Still kind of tough, but that should get better over the weeks as I get in shape and stretch out.
Dinner was salad, vegetables and a veggie non-dairy lasagna with whole grain cake with mangos and berries. The deserts are way too small. Actually all the portions are too small.
Our nutritionist, Emily Fonnesbeck RD,CD, gave a lecture on "Spending Your Calories Wisely". Bad news: everything that I enjoy is either high calorie or is full of saturated fats.
Time to go to sleep and get ready for another rugged day tomorrow.
