Who says they banned torture?

Who says they banned torture? They don't recognize that here... We checked in to Fitness Ridge on Sunday and went to bed at a reasonable hour to get up at 5:30AM for Open Gym at 6AM. Breakfast of egg white/tofu scramble, toast and a small smoothie. Hiked the "Stop Sign" trail. Started off really cold. Definitely had to bundle up. There's still snow on the ground from a snow storm they had last week. But by half way through we had are jackets stripped off and were running around in shorts and tee shirts. (Well.... at least I was in shorts...) Holly's bronchitis (which she is just recovering from) gave her a hard time while doing the hike. Scared me, I thought she was going to keel over. But we made it!
Next was Aqaucise with Sharon. Hard work, but a lot of fun. "And why do we want to work harder? Because it's funner!"
Lunch was salad, soup and tofu tacos... followed by Michelle's lecture on calorie budgeting. 1lb of fat equals 3500 calories. Your resting body burns about your weight in kilograms times 24 calories. Your calorie intake needs to be less than this plus your exercise or you gain weight.
Then Cameron ran us through Circuit Training. With 32 people there was almost too many people for the circuit. Man was that tough. Cardio for two minutes, weights for 45, 30 second rest, and then another 45, repeat for one hour. Guests were dropping like flys! Actually it was only 5 or 6 that got up and quit. But it was still surprising so see people give up.
After that was an intro to Aikido. Not the most exciting or interesting of classes, but a nice slow break.
Then dinner of chicken with asparagus and wasabi mashed potatoes with a apple/cranberry crumble for desert.
After dinner was "Meditation" followed shortly by an early night's sleep.
